Announcing the upcoming release of Wings of War: Flight of the Giants
Wings of War | Published 12 February 2010

When they appeared in the sky, they changed the course of history! Giant airplanes, with a wingspan larger than that of a WW II Flying Fortress, were already flying during World War I and able to reach strategic targets, leaving their mark on the course of the fight. Now, you can board and fly these giants of the sky towards their target…

Fantasy Flight Games is pleased to announce the upcoming release of Flight of the Giants, an exciting expansion for Wings of War!

Flight of the Giants is the first expansion set for Wings of War, introducing into the game early bomber planes, with new rules to handle their extended crews and fighting capabilities. You can now maneuver a huge Zeppelin Staaken, a Friedrichshafen G.III, or a Handley Page O/400, avoiding the fire of enemy fighters and searching for your target. Flight of the Giants features 8 different bombers of the Allies and the Central Powers, such as the Felixstowe F.2A, Zeppelin Staaken R.VI, and Caproni Ca.4!

This spring, the giants take flight...

Wings of War is an innovative card game that realistically simulates aerial combat in both World War I and World War II. Wings of War miniatures are three-dimensional accessories for Wings of War that couple the same revolutionary game play with beautifully-sculpted and historically-accurate models.

Now if only FFG would produce miniatures to go with this set...just imagine a Handley Page or Gotha standing on your tabletop.

Failing that I'm still waiting for a Sopwith Triplane and/or Bristol fighter miniature..the latter would give those Fokker DVII's a run for their money!!

This really is an a amazing expansion, both in terms of giving us more of the fight for the sky, but also broadening the scope covered by the game. Kudos!

This expansion would be amazing, plus I don't know why but the artwork on the box makes me want to grab this the first minute I can!
