Ditto on Timescape. Back in the days when we played 2nd ed., we bought all expansions as soon as they came out. Timescape was played about 3 or 4 times and then shelved! [For all reasons mentioned and that it utterly unbalanced the game.]
I never played 3rd, but have seen and heard a bit about its forest and crags expansions... and I would be interested in giving those a try most definitely. Until then, I'll be watching what develops for the Dungeon and what people have to say about changes versus 2nd and 3rd versions. Fingers crossed that we don't have to wait TOO long.

Well, from what I've gathered, the dungeon board fits onto one of the corners of the main board with squares from both boards lining up (?). I don't see why they would have to line up perfectly since entering the dungeon should be though a dungeon door card (place) pulled from the adventure card deck.

Boneshaw:
The Dungeon has a entrance from the ruins space in the third edition
They are some cards in the adventure deck that says that you are throw into the dungeon on the vault space
The space between the ruins and the dungeon don't match each other( at least not perfect. ( but that's not a problem !
Thanks for the reply on that last matter Velhart. I reckon it's only nostalgia that makes me think fondly of the old Timescape board, when GW were desperately plugging the 40K setting in every other game they produced seemingly (with hindsight, look at it now!). The extra board sections could be a serious distraction though if they do not enable some constructive gameplay towards the objective. Much as I liked it, that was one criticism about the old 2nd ed City board, which although it offered advanced careers, was pretty dangerous, and could take you away from the main action if you weren't careful.
I am hoping that the main board add ons in 3rd edition allowed some more diverse but useful play? If so, then they would be a welcome restoration - I agree that Dragons was a decent add on for 2nd edition, although all of the supplements together seemed to add on an extra lifetime to the length of the game.

I must admit I quite liked the Timescape when it came out, but I was a mad sci fi fan at the time.
Some of the ideas from Timescape weren't too outlandish, though I think as far as technology goes, I'd prefer it if Talisman was limited to steam power at the most....
Harbourmaster at Talisman Island - Fourteen magical years & counting!! - Chock full of Talisman goodness! Igigwe!
Sometimes I even update my Facebook page for the site!
Yeah me too
It's one of the cards that i want to draw from the spell deck
Sorry for double post)
But i see on the site of FF that the dungeon expansion will not have the realm die. I don't see it stated on the back of the box.
This would mean that you can move as normal...(rolling a D6 die?..
I think the Realm dice were brought in as the 3rd Edition Regions were quite small. As you can see, this one is somewhat larger than those.

That makes it a little easier to walk through the Dungeon. Maybe it is better this way, because it's a long walk.
Otherwise you end up dead into the middle of the dungeon
And the Goblin King will steal all your booty
All that money there, must come from somewhere haha
Maybe you become rich too
I have not seen one yet. I wish i could look at a better picture. Then i can see maybe some text from the spaces..
Draw one dungeon card ( one space further..) Draw two dungeon cards... etc
Hope the Dungeon will come soon, and it will be followed by other expansions. I wonder if anyone of you guys have heard if the FFG company made any statement about their future plans considering the Talisman and its expansions, as I don't want to bolieve that they are going to make just newer copies of old ideas, at least I would prefer to see something new and fresh like the Reaper expansion. It is 100% new to me as the first time I meet Talisman it was at least 10 years ago and additionally it was Polish release which as I heard was different, slightly from the 2nd or 3rd edition.
The Dungeon board that I remember was more like a spiral not L-shaped. Do you have some comments on that e.g. what we can expect on this board, is it similar to any of the previous dungeons?
Cheers.

I wish, they won't ditto 3rd Edition expansions and will release new ones or at least Timescape. For me, it should be released even before Dungeon or Reaper. I didn't read whole topic but I wonder, if there is something new about Treasure Cards and they aren't Alternative Endings...
Check Talisman Island!
I don't agree that Timescape should have been the first expansion. For me it was a bit weird to see guys with the guns in the fantasy times, and the board was ugly. But after giving it a try it was even nice to play it. I think they did good that they presented the Reaper as the first expansion as it showed that they are actually trying to come up with something new, at least I didn't played this expansion before.
It gives me hope that future expansions are going to be fresh with a lot of innovative elements, not just plain copy and past expansions, as it often happens with re-released games.
Cheers.
