I am looking for people and places to Play in The MIssausaga, Brampton area. Also dealers. I love this game and am becoming totally immersed in it

I am setting up an introduction day in Brampton in January for anyone who would like to learn the game and see what kind of interest we can get to start a league or a gaming group. It will be hosted by Cardboard Memories…stay tuned for further details

Hobby Kingdom in Burlington has the kit as well, but they are planning on holding their event first weekend of Jan, but no concrete date yet.

Hobby Kingdom confirmed Jan 6, $5, 1:00 start time.

Bayshore Hobbies will be having their event Wednesday Jan 16 at Chester's Beers of the World.  Details TBA.

Hobby Kingdom moved start time up to 12:30.

Bayshore Games has confirmed they will be having their KRE at Chester's Bar in Hamilton.  Start time 6:30, Wednesday Jan 16- participants must preregister at store or by phone.  Entry fee $10.00.

401 Games has confirmed they will be holding their event Jan 13 at 1:00.  Entry fee $5.00.

Sir Games A Lot in Barrie attempted to run their Kessel Run but only one player showed up.

I didn't realize not everyone was not (triple negative acknowledged) aware of our little Facebook group, but after posting it up on Boardgame Geek and being flooded ( yes, 2 new members in one afternoon for us is a flood) I thought I would post it up here and elsewhere to further strengthen out little band of Star Wars Gamers in the Toronto area.  Here is the link http://www.facebook.com/groups/6738327518
All members will be invited to any and all future events for X-Wing (SWX) and Star Wars Miniatures (SWM).  We are not associated with one particular store, convention or city, just looking to help connect players in the general area.  Right now it is just tournaments, but any type of organized casual play would be welcome as well.  When the SWX Regional is assigned in the spring, we'll also be all over that and if one happens for SWM we'll be all over that too.  You don't even have to live near here or ever even show up to an event, it is an open group to anyone with a Facebook account.

Upcoming three Kessel Runs in the next two weeks with more possible as the GTA was distributed with 12 kits but not all have been accounted for.

I'm planning on doing 401 and Hobby Kingdom, personally.

UPDATE:

I spoke with 401 games today, and they confirmed that they are still on track for their Kessel Run event on Sunday January 13, with a start time of 2pm.

Everything is still on track for a double Kessel Run Week, with events on Sunday and Wednesday.  Still no word on when from the few who have said they would be having events in January, but have not posted any details yet, or from the shops who we've never heard anything from.

Yes, it looks like we're all set to throw down for the 401 Games event on Sunday, at 2pm.  I'll be coming, with a +1.  It would be great to get a double digits turn out.
