WayHey! My birthday coming up soon too.....

Characters I see on the cover are:

Highlander

Valkyre

Pirate

Fairy

the other two I am not so sure:

an elf of sorts, Dark Elf ?

what looks like a completely new female character.

The Eagle King will be at the center pf the mountain but what will defeating him gain you ?

I never had 3rd edition so don't know what the deal was with the expansion boards then. I hope it is not another route to the CoC

The other point is how will you access it.

My guess is that it will be from the Crags - the Harpy being shown a coincidence ? I think not...

That would also point us towards the next one..... accessed through the Forest......

Actually - how come? Gems? I have ne'er played the 3rd ed. :( Only first <with a set of expansions from 2nd + bunch of home rules  and the full second> so forgive me my asking questions 'bout such obvious things :D

There are 3 gems in the mountains from Third edition

A Emerald (3 gold worth), a Ruby (4 gold worth), and a Diamond  ( 5 gold worth)

You will be rich in no time...

What he said. I would add only, that they are not changed automatically, in 3rd Edition You must deliver them to the City.

Woooh, that's pretty cool ! I'm glad, me likes big exps.

Question : is there some kind of Darkness Lord equivalent at the top of that mountain ? or is is an "empty" board, that is, just a dungeon, with no baddie ?

Follow this white rabbit, and You will find a Big Bird: 209.85.62.24/303/70/0/p147498/mountain_Bird.jpg from 3rd Edition.

EDIT: Hi Velhart

Probably right on the "Other path to CoC" bit, but I'm ok with that.  I do wonder if it'll be another place to power level your characters, like Dungeon?

I hope that it has more events and nasty cards than the Dungeon expansion.

The Dungeon is already crawling full of enemies

As far as I can see, it seems that these miniatures are better detailed than previous miniatures   Well most of the old ones look good but some of them lack in details.

I can't wait for this expansion... And it is also soon my birthday - gues what I wish for!

www.geniesworkshop.com - The site is under construction, but feel free to take a look.

The Eagle King is the end boss for this region board.

From the picture of the box, it seems that they completely change the Eagle King.

It's a large bird now
