Ya, I have been to GenCon so 'Steam Punk' would have been just one of dozens of different types...I should have thought of that. I will see pix on Facebook soon probably.

Next year for sure!

If someone tries to kill, you go ahead and try to kill them right back!

I wasn't a big fan of the city either. Only expansion that I liked less was Timescape. I used it once and never played it agian. I like what FFG is doing with Talisman and I hope they can make the city a worth while expansion. The City expansions of the past, especially the 3'rd edition, never lived up to their full potentional.

What do i see there...

A Ice Queen character card in the same way as the Reaper card !

Wow !

And it has a strength, craft and life slot too !

What can it possible do..

I am actually hoping that she still lives in the ice Mountains from the Mountain expansion.

Because she is a Ice Queen off course !

But if you think of it... ( the tittle of the box is named: Frostmarch expansion, so it's a army that are marching from the mountains to the main board ! ?

From the looks of it. it has no slots for objects and the card has the same color as the warlock quest card ( you see on the picture)

Maybe it's  a big sub boss that you must face after some circumstances??

I can only read a little bit from the last sentence on the card, that it has something to do with the Crown of Command..

Maybe that the Ice Queen card will activate when someone is on the Crown

--------------------------

Edit: I can read the last sentence of the Ice Queen card now..

It says that she heals all her lives if there are no characters on the Crown of Command..

I have also tried to read a bit of the Necromancer...

It says that if you do not attack a spirit, and your craft is higher than the spirit craft, it can join you as a follower and ads it's craft to yours in psychic combat. After that , it go to the discard pile.

You may use any number of spirits during a psychic combat

The Ice Queen is obviously one of the three end-game variants, where "Warlock Quests" and "Crown and Sceptre" are the other two.
According to the card you have to defeat her to win the game when you enter the crown of command.

The "Warlock Quests" card says that you first have to complete the four Warlock Quests you begin the game with, to be able to win when you enter the Crown of Command.

Ice Queen is weak <_< She has same S and C as LoD, so if we are able to kill LoD, we also are able to kill her, without any problems. Even in Polish second edition of Talisman - Magical Sword - the Beast (something like Dragon King) could have S and C equal of 16.

But if the warlock quest card is a ending card, that would mean that you know wich ending you get at the beginning of the game?

If not, then you can never know if you must complete all the warlock quest before you land on the Crown of Command. So you must know it beforehand...

It is possible, but in second edition, you draw the card when you land on the coc..( if i am right..

Another point is, that if the Ice Queen is a ending card( from the last sentence about the crown..?)  then it is a very big ending card !

No problems here, because i like the art a lot on the card:)

If you are able to kill the LoD then you are already prepared for the inner region, wich means that i think that FFG thinks that it is not the meaning to defeat the LOD 2,3 times but only once...

Defeat the LOD, grab a treasure and go to the Crown of Command by foot or warp power, through the magic mirror in the treasure room, if you are lucky, and confront the Ice Queen and take her head

You can sell it for a high price you know...

A re-match with the same power as the LOD..

Think you can win again...( who knows... ( try it

I would prefer it if ther endings were random and that you didn't know what you are facing until you get there. As there doesn't seem to be a crown of command card it seems likely the endings are chosen before the start of the game.

I'm a big fan of the old alternative endings especially the Horrible Black Void, would you believe it that I once drew it 3 times in one game!!!

I've re-worked the 2nd ed endings for the new edition and tried to iron out the massive flaws in some of the cards, Pandoras Box being the worst offender.  I've also converted every card and board from the 2nd and 3rd ed as I hated to wave goodbye to some old favourites.

Guess I'll have to wait and see how the new endings work and how I can add the Void back into the mix!!!

I am also wondering why the Ice Queen is in the Inner Region ( as a ending card?) because she lives in the land of ice....

That does not make sense..

Her castle exists in the ice mountains...(mountain expansion)

I note that one of the adventure cards visible in the Talisman island pics is Centaur (Stranger) - a welcome return from the first 2nd Edition expansion.  Hopefully, the other missing Strangers from that set will appear.

A centaur?

It's difficult to see..

In third edition, he exist in the forest expansion as a stranger ( if i am right..)

Looking at boardgamegeek: It seems that the fourth character is the leprechaun !

Well, i was already pretty sure about that, because of his cap..

finally we got him !

PS: It is indeed the centaur.

It has the same text as third edition i think..

--------

Another adventure card that i can see now is a frost giant with strength 6 !

Nice picture

There is also a hydra spell card

Can't wait for this expanson.  It looks to be fun.  I already have a way to randomise the ending.

Roll a D4

1.  Crown Of Command

2.  Crown and Septor

3.  Ice Queen

4.  Warlock Quests

It says on the back of the box that the Ice Queen obatined has the crown of command and is bringing the "frostmarch" to the land of Talisman. She has left her ice palace behind.
