If i got tile system, which is something i have been thinking about for a while, how would i get like a set of tiles and tokens for descent 2e? And if anyone has one it would be greatly appreciated if you could send me the file or link, thanks

I haven't seen a tileset for D2E online yet, but it's easy enough to make your own, provided you have a scanner to scan in the tiles. You can look at the tilesets packaged with the program in a text editor to see how it works.

Morthai …
Do you have a target date for the Part 2 and Part 3 PDFs for the campaign?
Thanks.

Thanks. Have a 5 day Descent marathon planned for the end of the month, and was hoping to utilize your alternative quest.

Today I finally finished the hard design work of all pages of the pdf file! It might need a last spellcheck but for now it is ready to be published as a nice complete product of the effords of all my helpers and countless hours of work! Behold, here we go (whopping 69mb full of descent 2.ed.)!

hope you enjoy it!

Morthai …
I downloaded the PDF. I briefly scanned it (not thouroughly read), and I can't find the following:
1) The actual page for the overall quest, showing which is the intro quest, what are the ACT I and corresponding ACT II quests, etc.
2) Custom cards
Am I blind? Have I somehow missed this?

that all is actually in the addeddum or the part 3 we talked about - i still have some templates missing to finish that but in the meanwhile you can find it here:

Sorry … I guess I was jumping the gun. When I saw that the title had been changed to PDF Ready, and you described it as all inclusive, I thought it meant all of the parts we had discussed, not just ACT I, II, Interludes and Finale.
I have to stop assuming things … lol.

Looks fantastic! Is it possible to get the left and right page templates you used? I'm working on a campaign as well, although not as deep as this. Nice work!

Hi Morthai, thank you so much for creating and sharing "The Silken Threads", and congratulations on this spectacular accomplishment! The quality of your work is completely mind-blowing. So far I have completed the Intro and the Lost in the Woods, Struggle for Sanity and The Shadow Realm quests. I'm just playing it solo, and have been pleased to find that Descent Second Edition plays quite well in that mode. Call me a raving lunatic, but this has been a trememdously fun experience.
As far as specific feedback…I really like your reinforcement rules, for starters. I find them more fair and more finely nuanced than those in the "The Shadow Rune" campaign. I prefer the specificity and tighter control of your rules, in that regard. Also, I like your approach to the initial monster setup. Again, the control seems tighter than in "The Shadow Rune" and I like the way you tailor the available monster groups to the quest environment/theme. (My intent here is not to criticize the design of "The Shadow Rune", I think it's great…only to say that I like the way you have reacted to possible perceived weaknesses in that design.) Very well done!
There is an elegant simplicty in your work, particulary evident in the Intro and Lost in the Woods, which I also applaud. Additionally, I find the storyline of all your quests fascinating and I think some of your quest plot ideas are simply brilliant. I could go on, and I don't mean to be overly dramatic, but this stuff is just genius. All your flavor text is also interestingly crafted. All of the quests so far have been perfectly balanced too. This must have taken extensive playtesting. The encounter with the Shadowdemons ended with two red runelocks destroyed and Shadowdemons likely one turn away from destroying the other two when Jain Fairwood locked the portal with a successful knowledge attribute test. Great drama! (And what a great idea to involve heroes with the story in this manner!) And I like the way the relics that are earned are so cleverly integrated into the story as well. "Fangblade", I caught that..
Where do you get your ideas and inspiration? I see another campaign is in the works….. That's incredible! You have made me want to try my hand at campaign designing, but I don't think I could produce anything as good as you have done. So you used the Vassal module for your maps? That's interesting. Personally, I've never tried the Vassal platform…..didn't even know Descent Second Edition was available there.
One last thing, you really seem totally responsive to people's comments, questions and concerns. That's another terrific attribute that is nice to see. If I could ask one question…I saw your comment in regard to downloading your completed PDF file where you stated that it's necessary to have an ad-blocker installed in order to find the "correct button" to hit, is how I believe you stated it. Actually, I had tried to download off of a link that I believe was on page 4 (November 21 post) of Board Game Geek, where there were two links within the post. I was obviously a bit overly cavalier about it….and the next thing you know I had installed the V-Grabber tool bar, which then proved quite pesky to remove. So now I'm hesitant to go ahead and download your 69mg PDF file, as much as I'd like to have access to it, out of fear of going through that type of hassle again…. I know you have better things to do than hold people's hands while they muddle through mundane issues such as this, but any advice about "safely" downloading your Silken Threads PDF would be very much appreciated!
In the future, I may ask you other design-related questions, if you don't mind, now that I've emerged from lurker status here.. Just mainly wanted to inform you that your work is very much appreciated!!! How in the world you have enough material in your imagination to create another entire campaign, I have no idea.. :)

just a quick fyi, since i am in a rush atm:
Ideas and Inspiration? Hmm,… i guess i am a creative mind who totally digs this awesome game!
Vassal module? Check out BGG in the PBF subforum, there you can find the Vassal module. A friend designing even a The Silken Threads Vassal module atm which is really awesome! If it is ready, I will tell more about it.
Other than this, Wow! Thanks to your awesome feedback!
It is hard to find a good and secure uploader, especially if you work with ad-block and don't know how others see that side I am uploading to, i quickly tried a different upload-page, maybe this works for you:

If you have more problems I will try to find another alternative hoster.
