regardless of what they for the next LCG (and I can't wait to see), it needs to be designed to accomodate 3-4 players.
I would really suggest for Fantasy Flight to aquire both the Star Trek and Star Wars rights and then proceed to pay Decipher something of a kickback to be able to use some of their design and rules for the LCG.
Both games were popular. Star Trek fell off because it was far too rare and rule intensive for new players to get into. Star Wars imploded like the Death Star because Wizards were able to steal it away from them and killed the franchise. People believe to this day it was because Star Wars had begun to outsell Magic for some months of the year.
In Europe, Star Trek is not a good licence. But Star Wars

If we're throwing out SciFi ideas then why not Dune? Another amazing classic and you have plenty of factions to work with. Or something more lighthearted perhaps Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

Okay, I would very likely play a Hitchhiker's LCG. Babel fish in every deck!
Star Wars LCG, but centred in IV-VI movie... And with illustration, no movie photo... Enjoy
With a good system

Here's my two cents....
No SW LCG. Star Wars has been done to death. Come out with something new. An LCG in the Twilight Imperium universe would be cool. A fresh and new story. I also think having some cool fluff would rock. I would love to read stories about the cards also.
As for type of LCG, I would like it to be a space conquest game. Something similar to the Eve CCG. I liked controlling the ships and having to mine for resources.

In case you missed it, earlier this week Wizards of the Coast announced that they will not be renewing their license with Lucasfilm over the gamng rights to the Star Wars franchise. While this is a blow to the SW:RPG and minis games that WotC is working on, tis may instead be a boon to other gaming companies, including FFG. The license itself is rich with detail and opportunities, and I think FFG should seriously consider picking up the license to do an LCG of the Star Wars game (as well as some real, serious board games in the setting).
I'm not going to speculate on how the game would work, but there are plenty of options, and the fact that they would have access to the movies would mean they wouldn't need to pay for art a big boon for a card game; just look at how much art for Warhammer: invasion is "recycled."
So, who else would love to see and buy a Star Wars LCG?
After 33 years, I'm sick of Star Wars. BSG on the other hand. :)
I really want to see FFG take the Warhammer 40K and Star Trek liceneses into the LCG format. That would please me no end.

i've said it before, but since it was brought up again I'd be more the nhappy with a star trek LCG!

AGoT LCG
I'm not a trekkie, but I agree Star Trek would be a nice fit for an LCG. BSG would also be a natural fit for a 2-player, but it would be nice to see an LCG which was designed for more players. My typical gaming groups hover around 3-5 players available at a time, buy board games take up so much space ;)
Licenses I wouldn't expect to work in this format are Futurama, Discworld and Smurfs. But you never know :P

Oh, I bet I could come up with a Futurama LCG. And it would be far, far superior to WotC's Simpsons ccg they came out with in 2003. And good (the two are not automatically mutual).
There is a part of me that is wondering if they might try to do an RTS LCG based on Starctraft. I know that is one of the things that many gaming companies have beent ryiong to accomplish in the last few years. I mean, how exactly would you try to do an RTS card game?

I'd just like to add that if FFG did decide to try for the license and make a Star Trek LCG, please make it universe prime not the alternate timeline from the JJ movie (though do an expansion set on it by all means). I want to continue the exploits of Kirk, Picard, Sisko, Janeway and Archer in LCG format. Thank you.
