I'd rather buy one book. I've never understood the communities space elf fetish, give me Squats! ;)
And I think Squats are stupid and was glad they were killed off technically in a lot of past wargame editions. Different strokes, different folks.
I can see Necromunda having to go for a Mash-Up on the Career paths, you will have to pick a "House" and a "Type", both will give you Ranked Career Path options, Types will likely be "Granger", "Techie", "Fixer", "Militia" and "Assassin" in the main book with "Scavenger", "Scout" & "Weird" in "Outlands".
Doesn't the Arbites/Ganger Dark Heresy cover almost everything you need? All you need is a few alternate advancement options for each faction and you are done.
Yes & No a DH Scum is your basic Petty Criminal & Thug till they hit the mid ranks, A Necromunda Ganger is part of their Houses Milita, who may or may not sideline in Petty Crime & Thuggery. also the Houses have too much varation to be covered with just one Carrer, Background, Alternatave Path or Eleate Package.
I just can't see Necromunda getting a whole rulebook for itself. I could, however, see it as a supplement for Only War, since the specalties cover most of the different areas that gangers would use, but with rules for the different Houses (each with different regiment rules), Ratskins, Redemptionists, Muties, etc. That wouldn't need all that much in the way of rules though - I could probably throw something together for a Necromunda game in a day or so with just the Only War corebook.
