Check out the guy on the left in that last pic, the one with the glasses.  That is a Nerdgasm right there.

Absolutely!  lol.   The paint jobs are pretty nice on the ships and I hope they're not just better "example" models.  Back in the Star Wars and D&D minis days, the pics you saw on online galleries and preview figs were alot better paint jobs that what you actually opened up.  At $15 a pop, I'd expect what I'm seeing in the pics here.

That's the advantage of a transparent blister: if people no like it, they no buy it.

Why… are these boards… so… slooooooow?

I imagine the Falcon and Slave 1 will cost more than $15 each given their larger size.  Hopefully not much more than $20, but I could even see it being $25.  Fortunately, you can buy at steep discounts on miniaturemarket.com.

Thanks for the tip! Do you think they will continue to have that price?

This is awesome! I hope showing these at GenCon doesn't eliminate the possibility of seeing an official announcement on the webpage. I am really looking forward to what FFG has to say about the larger ships. I'm super excited for these. You know, even if the LCG was a bit of a let down, I guess it'll let me get more into this one.

As for other bounty hunter ships, I'd buy them all, but I wonder if it would detract from the militaristic dogfight feel we are getting with the first wave. I'm not holding my breath for the Mist Hunter, but if they released it, I'd look like the guy in the picture above!

EDIT: And while it could be that the ship tokens will fill up the entire base on the Millennium Falcon and Slave I, they may have raised bits in the middle of the base that fit normal sized ship tokens and keep them from spinning around. Just saying.

Also, wonder what the pilots will be for that one (seems like a good opportunity to bridge to the prequel… Boba on one side and Jango on the other).  Not sure who else flew slave 1, and seems like it wouldn't be a generic though I suppose it could be.

Well, in The Clone Wars Bossk gets to fly the Slave I…before it crashes and explodes!(Sometimes TCW really messes with established canon.) But there's another candidate. It's more likely to be "Law enforcement pilot" or something generic like that.

Some people play to win. I play because it's one of the few ways to fly an X-wing here on Earth!

They have info tags next to the models indicating that it will cost $30 for the Falcon or Slave I.

Ha-ha, my guesses for the next four were spot-on!! *gloat*

They look great. A few notes on comments here:

1. Slave-I is indeed a "generic" ship, the Firespray-31 class patrol/attack craft. So, you could repaint and sex one up however you want - if, indeed, the stat cards don't do some of it for you!

2. Without getting into the impossible-to-resolve Millenium Falcon measurements furball, it's somewhere between twice and 2 1/2 times the length of an X-Wing. X-Wing is pretty constant at 12.5 meters, but the MF waffles from 27 meters to about 34+ meters. Still and all, expect it to be just over twice the length of the fighter; it's not as huge as some folks think.

3. $30 seems like about what I'd expect for this size model from FFG, in comparison to the $15 for a fighter. Good.

Thus do I undo all Gordian Knots!

Here is a video with the new ships.  Looks like the Falcon and Slave 1 have an MSRP of $29.97.  That should translate to about $20 at MiniatureMarket.com.  I could see spending $20 on these.

Absolutely. That's actually a little LESS than I'd envisioned.

$30 each seems about right based on the cost of the fighters and the detail level on the big guys.  I will hopefully get to see them first hand Thursday at Celebration.  I really hope they do not plan to go any larger.  This is a dog fighting game, not a capital ship combat sim.

Thanks,

Duncan

That interceptor looks sick.  They put these out later in the Con, so i was completely surprised when I looked at them on Sunday.

Hopefully this game sticks.  People at GenCon really seemed to like it.
