Personally, I'd like to see expansions that would be either/or - you can play the museum, or Miskatonic U, or Egypt, or South Pacific (like in the online version), but not a mix-match thing.  We already have AH for the big and complicated games.  Elder Sign is about simple, short and easy setup and play, and honestly, I love that about it.  If I wanted to play a long and complicated game I'd just play AH instead.  Elder Sign is for when a friend comes over and we have limited time for gaming or don't feel like getting out all the AH stuff.

Simply - expansions should be themathic and self-contained, at least for the most part.

And noooo print-on-demand ones, only "big" ones :)

I can't believe Mansions of Madness is getting a THIRD expansion before Elder Signs even gets even one. Hey FFG, how about expanding a game people actually LIKE? :<

I guess it doesn't matter too much since I've had little trouble (and a lot of fun!) translating Arkham Horror stuff into Elder Signs, but it sure would be nice to see a professional go at it.

I'd like to join the real expansion and no PoD faction!

Any guesses what they will bring up for the Arkham Nights event?

My guess is just a new Ancient One, and maybe the new Investigators they made for the digital game (but probably not). As to which Ancient One, my bet is one of the more straightforward ones like Tsathoggua or maybe even an updated version of a previous Ancient One, nothing too terribly exciting.

A real expansion would be awesome - and if they follow in the suit of ES and Mansions so far, borrowing art and some design should make the process somewhat easy - to hit each Arkham expansion to break down into a smaller scale for ES shouldn't be too easy.  It would be kind of neat if they even did them each in their own setting instead of all the museum.  Seems like so much material available just considering what they've already covered in Arkham I would have to imagine this is in the works for sooner or later.

I think it might be neat to even see a few new dice as well!

Why not all in the museum? Visiting exhibits would fit quite well I think.

They should do an expansion much like the one for ES: Omens, where you can journey to the Pacific Rim :)

I'm thinking (hoping) something is announced at Arkham Nights. I feel it in my bones!

Just say "no" to PoD. :)

So the Omens digital game got it's SECOND expansion this week but the original game doesn't even have announcements for possible future expansions whatsoever, so…I guess that's FFG's way of telling us to **** right off :/

Not to be late to the party but I don't think FFG was telling use to **** off. 1) Richard Launius stated at Arkham Nights that he has come up with some new stuff for Elder Sign but did not know what/when it would go into production. 2) The fact that expansions are being made for the digital version indicates the game is doing well and is ripe for future expansions. 3) If I remember correctly, FFG had the rights for Elder Sign 2 years (!) before they produced it because other stuff was already queued up. So given the X-Wing stuff, MoM stuff, Android: Netrunner ect, it just might be a little bit before it come down the pipe.

My two cents: I thought they would do a physical reprint of the expansions, but actually they might be taking a while to get something pretty novel whipped up. I think the game is in good hands and I also think that both Richard and Kevin like the game enough to keep designing for it.

It seems that everything one does to earn a livelihood, to subsist,to enjoy life turns out to be illegal, immoral, fattening,- most disturbingly - carcinogenic

Bolded for emphasis. Just that he did something new doesn't mean that FFG will use any meaningful part of it, or anything at all.

This is something I agree with.

Love some of the ideas here.  Also love the method of expansion that they've done for Omens.  The idea of the games starting in the Museum and then traveling to another location is awesome.

I have to say, that I hate the idea of POD editions.  I like this game a lot, and want to see actual boxed set expansions.  I know this is probably what the game need's least, but I'd love to see another die type.  I'm a dice junky so there's that, but I'd want an expansion even without new dice…

I'm late to this thread, but could you please tell me to what 3 expansions for MoM you are referring?

We almost need a second edition of the core game to fix it to make it more challenging, because it is disappointingly easy to the point where it is hard to lose. Problem seems to be the doom track just doesn't fill up fast enough.

Perhaps a new expansion could help fix this in some way. I would like to see them focus more on the tabletop version than on the digital version although I also own the digital version with all the expansions and enjoy it. I just prefer table top gaming with friends.
