Ok, a top five list!  I haven't played Foundations of Stone, Shadow and Flame, or the last two Heirs of Numenor quests yet.  Excepting those, here I go:

1. Dungeons Deep and Caverns Dim - surprised not to see this on others' lists! We had a great game with this one.  It's hard, but I liked the riddling mechanic.  Led us to some very dramatic discards.

2. Into the Pit - love getting swarmed by goblins.  I like The Seventh Level as well, but Into the Pit is more challenging.

3. The Redhorn Gate - I find this quest very challenging… we often lose.  But I think it's well designed and fun to play.  And a cool theme.

4. The Watcher in the Water - tentacle mayhem!  Pretty easy if you set up your deck for it, but can be hard without the right cards.

5. A Journey to Rhosgobel - we always play with 2 players, so I don't have the solo woes with this quest.  I like the race against time factor.  Always bring Shadow of the Past!

So true bro Dungeons Deep is a realy beautiful quest with one of the most innovative mechanic so far (that adds to the game and does not just change it , and thats what i like form the HOBBIT expansion , you play something extra not just a different version of the same game)  .Realy strange that noone has mentioned it so far

being critical i have to say dungeons deep is a poorly designed quest with aweful scaling and based entirely on luck…..it is fun, but incredibly frustrating

My top 3:

3. The Redhorn Gate - It feels like it takes FOREVER to get to that mountain peak, just as it would in real life! And with characters freezing all around you!

2. Foundation of Stone - I love the split up mechanic.

1. Shadow and Flame - So thematic and scary! You actually feel like you are really taking on the Balrog! I really like big boss quests like this especially at the end of a cycle for an epic finale. Not many (or any) underling enemies to deal with, just a huge boss in front of you!

I must agree that it wouldn't scale well -- hard for one player to cope with all that discard.  I wouldn't call it luck-based, though.  For every "riddle" we answered I was thinking hard about what spheres, card types, and costs were left in our decks.  I can't think of a better way to evoke the brain-racking challenge of answering riddles in a dark cave than the way they did it…

I recently got FoS(Foundations of Stone) and HoN(Heirs of Numenor) and i'm playing these 4 Quests for the last 3 days with my wife . FoS is realy great all of u that said so u were absolutely right guys ! as far as HoN … hmmm not very bad but the one that i like the least of all for sure , using def and attack instead of will ? realy ? hmmm u have a stat in your hero and ally cards (will) that does nothing hmmm  it's ok at The Siege of Cair Andros it fits realy nice with the concept of the quest and it is a realy nice quest too, but using this bad idea/mechanic in the other 2 quests that already had issues really ruined them .

I'd have to say my favorite would be The Redhorn Gate, it's just so cool trying to pass over the mountains battling the freezing cold and treacherous surroundings.  The enemies like the Snow Wargs and mountain trolls also fit in perfectly with the whole snow/ice theme that's going on.

If i had to name my top 5 quests, it would be probably go something like this:

1. The Redhorn Gate

2. Into Ithilien (HoN)

3. Passage through Mirkwood (Core)

4. Foundations of Stone

5. The Seventh Level (KD)
