Second game, first combat! A little experience with the system went a long way. Still keeping things more basic (haven't told the players about spending fatigue, etc.) but we about doubled our speed by the end of the night.
My PCs kicked some butt, one received a crit from a 2nd lvl stock NPC, and they were smart enough to "give up" once reinforcements figured out what was happening and took aim.
Any ideas on how an NPC would have mentalist abilities but be shut down from using them (by minor Inquisition types)?
