I've run into a somewhat stupid problem I'm frustratingly unable to solve

Today when I logged in a message appeared telling me to provide the zip (postal) code in order to "use the new Community Wizaed features", whatever that means. I did it, honestly, but the forum seems to believe the zip code I provide is "invalid for Russia". To my knowledge, our beloved Pochtamt did not change the codes, and I''m pretty sure I've written it correctly (I re-checked it thrice, just in case and even tried to use general city code instead of area-specific one). The six-digit code I use is - I'm certain - a correct one, so the problem lies elsewhere.

Just pressing the magic button "cancel" helped somewhat, but was not a final solution, because every time I try to enter my personal profile, the persistent message pops up, and if I "cancel" it, the profile also closes. Technically, I can live with that, but it''s… shall we say… strange.

Maybe someone else had the same problem and knows how to solve or bypass it? Or maybe I'm just got it all wrong, and the site wants not the russian six-digit zip code, but something entirely different? In any case, I would really appreciate some advice.
