Is it just me, or is this the best place possible on the entire planet for a 40K LARP? It's a supercomputing center. In a cathedral. There can't possibly be a more perfect place on God's Green Earth to host a Warhammer 40K LARP. Don't you all agree? What do you think? Do we have any Barcelonans here?? Has anyone visited it??

As long the story was centered around the Adeptus Mechanicus… I mean, that looks like an excellent Shrine to the Omnissiah. Although a bit more brass wouldn't have hurt, not to mention the lack of servitors.
The strong eat, the weak are meat … for new servitors.
It is good, i would however also recommend this:

Light that bad boy up with some red lights, put on a background track of "industrial" sounds, have fun.
There is also some more "closed" parts, but i do not have any pictures as it was far to dark to take any.
I would recommend this…

OMG. Those second two locations are absolutely amazing and evocative of 40K's tech decay, in my opinion. The first one was FAR too clean for my taste. Now, why anybody would ever want to LARP under any circumstances is beyond me, but I would consider pulling those pics in for inspiration for my players in a regular RPG.
Sorry, just had to troll. U mad?

Only the insane have strength enough to prosper. Only those that prosper may judge what is sane.
We do it because it's fun. And the best two places to hold 40k LARPs are the Milwaukee and B&O ballrooms in the Union Station at GenCon, because that's where two 40K LARPs are taking place next week.
Signing off.
Until about 20 years ago you could have even made your LARP in a "real" hive city with dark hive alleys and lingering dregs all inclusive. Not sure how they would have reacted to your polysterol chainswords though…

Awesome locations, but one thing I don't understand. I recently understood how LARPing with melee weapons work, but how does it work when you have a lasgun or even a flamer? :p

The podcast I saw they yelled numbers (to denote the amount of damage one does) when they scored a hit. A physical hit with whatever they were swinging. Paintball might work? Think i'd like to be low level though, wouldn't want to have to take too many shots.
I'll check out the video when I get home!
