My brief browsing of the three games seem to indicate that: no...they are not.
The card game seem to draw heavily from the RPG for ideas and do not seem bear too much similarities to the mini other than the looks.

The card game is separate. Like, the random spin-off D&D board games (but not the intro boxes (O:).

yeah if you are playing the rpg or mini game you would never refer to the card game for any mechanics. You can however pick up on some lore in the card game.

I hear the upcomming card game expansion Beyond Good or Evil is full of spoilers for the RPG.
