If hunters are in a team and they meet something that cost lives for example, or have to discard cards, does everyone in the team get hit?

"Encounters affect the entire Group equally,
although any member of a Group can reveal
Item cards to reduce the effects of an
encounter. Thus, for instance, a Group of all
four Hunters that encounters Wolves would
each lose 2 Health. However, this could be
reduced by 1 if any Hunter in the Group
revealed a Pistol, and by another 1 if any
Hunter in the Group revealed a Rifle." (p. 24)
Example seems clear in the general sense. Individual encounters might make interpretations trickier.
