So, my little guy plays Gorgei - picks his tokens and dad is not looking up each one.  One is the bomb with the 1 on it...

Little guy puts it next to a Union Flag - Gorgei was playing for the Union today.  Then we realize - oh dang...oh dang...

So, I try to figure out how you difuse this little pack of instant death.  Can't figure it out...bomb goes off...takes Gorgei with him and the Union flag...we just removed it and wrote off everything within five circles on that corner of the board.  (Kid roled more tens than you can imagine today).

BUT -

How exactly do we difuse these nasties???

Step on em. Other than that, make up a house rule that people with the engeneering skill have to, say, role equal to or less than the amount of movement (time) they spend working on it. Then if they fail they take a wound, have to pass a stamina check to avoid damage, skeedadle before it jumps them, etc.

They cannot be chosen as equipment. 

In the scenario they are disarmed by standing next to them and using an action while no enemy characters are adjecant.
