To those in the know: How similar is the forthcoming X-Wing game to WoW?

Hello WoW fans!

I haven't played WoW, I only skimmed its rules some time ago, so I've been wondering:
Just how similar does this read to someone who knows WoW well?

I play WOW, and from what I can tell, the only difference between it and X-Wing is the shape of the manuever cards.
WOW has standard square cards with the direction lines printed on them, while X-Wing has awkward-looking cards shaped like the direction lines themselves.
