Kaufy, took the plung yesterday and bought DoW online. I have also been buying 21st Cen. 1:144 planes and will be getting the stands from Litko. I am looking forward to some great gaming and I am now looking at Bombers online. We still play Axis and Allies and are now talking about playing this before a game to decide which side has control of the skies. Also if there are paratroopers they have to be part of an escort to see if their transports can get through. What do you think and any ideas are welcome...

I have been reading all the old post over at the other webpage and wonder why the change? Roger_Wilco has some great ideas and I too am wondering why I am not seeing him posting over here. You two have a great collection of planes that I was drooling over on the other site. BTW, Khayman7 had a jump on us so if you have any good advice that can help me send him down in flames then please share as I want him butt....

LOL!!  "Look out Khayman...BREAK,  BREAK!!!"

WoW & DoW, IMHO, are both great games. I've played against both my kids, and my drinking buddies, it's just a game that is so flexible.

I saw those bases in another thread on here that somebody made themselves out of plexiglass (or some kind of plastic), and I thought they looked great.  After the holidays, I hope to be able to get after it and make some myself. Rodger_Wilco had some great stuff over on the old boards, hopefully we'll see him over here soon! I know I'm just getting my browser settings right for these new boards myself. There for awhile, I wasn't too sure I was going to be visiting here much either! I think I've got the "kinks" worked out now, and I must say, I like the new boards.

There are just some super deals you can get on E-Bay for 1/144 scale planes, and I've found a much larger variety than I though existed at first.  The B-17s I got were only $7.49 each, and they are already pre painted, with just a little asembly needed.  I was able to pick up 3 Japanese sally bombers at only $3.50 apiece! those are going to make for some nice "Flying Tiger" scenarios! I have the shark mouthed P-40s already to go, now the sallys, and I just got 3 Japanese Ki-43 Oscars. Those are good, old fashioned, do-em'-yourself kits.  Anyway, E-Bay has some great stuff...the shipping is really reasonable, and having the stuff brought right to your door is sweet!

Young, Rodger W., Private, 148th Infantry, 37th Infantry Division (the Ohio Buckeyes) born Tiffin, Ohio, 28 April 1918 died 31 July 1943, on the island of New Georgia, Solomons, South Pacific, while singlehandedly attackingdestroying an enemy machine-gun pillbox. His platoon had been pinned down by intense fire from this pillbox Private Young was wounded in the first burst. He crawled toward the pillbox, was wounded a second time but continued to advance, firing his rifle as he did so. He closed on the pillbox, attackeddestroyed it with hand grenades, but in so doing he was wounded a third timekilled.
His boldgallant action in the face of overwhelming odds enabled his teammates to escape without loss; he was awarded posthumously the Medal of Honor.

What I would like is the ability to preview what you are going to post.  At present I think there is only a publish and cancel button.  It would be good to be able to check if links to pictures and such were working.  I got burnt by this today, I just couldn't get the links to photo bucket to work for some reason, (tried various ways, but no joy) anyway as I couldn't preview I had to keep using edit to check.  And then I found out that you can't delete an opening post, even if it is your own.

Don't get me started on points.  I've been posting since the forum started, and my points havn't moved since about 5-6 days in.  I'm not being point hungry for the sake of having a high score (no calling me a post whore please) but it would be nice to take part in the raffles they mentioned.

Something, something, something, darkside.  Something, something, something, complete.

I agree with this and might I add that I would love to be able to put my own avitar on my page. That would go a long way to making a good site a better site in my eyes.

There is actually one way to preview. In the word look alike controlls at the top, first button on the left is a preview button. It doesn't work that well though. It just shows more or less the same that you have written without any html formating

Has anyone all of a sudden lost the ability to post pictures?

For some reason, i cant add photos to any of the posts i make, reguardless of what PC I'm working on?

Are we limited to how many photos we can attach per log-in/callsign?

It's going to get a bit dull around here if we can't post our pictures.

I've seen plenty of pictures around.
