WOW Minis - Porco Rosso conversion?

I love the WOW minis and I love the movie Porco Rosso (Anime set in a semi-fictional Adriatic and Italian area1929 universe)...

Has anyone modded any bombers to be like the wonderful float planes in Porco Rosso?

I was struck recently by how much the Air Pirate biplanes in that movie owe to actual bomber and 2 seater designs from WWI.

Well, the Curtiss R3C-2 actually existed -- it was a Navy air racer for the big international cup races:

Not so sure about the Savoia design the hero flies.

Found this:

Porco supposedly flew a Savoia S.21. The real Italian made Savoia S.21 doesn't look much like the one Porco flies.

Miyazaki didn't know much about the real S.21 when he designed Porco's plane.

His design came from a plane he saw when he was a boy. Porco's S.21 looks somewhat like the Macchi M.33.
