I have analyzed the challenges in SoAK, so that I could use expansions in SoAK.
It turns out the app. 50% of the challenges are stronger at night and 30% is equal strenght while app. 20% is strong by day.
Furthermore, the difference between a challenge night and day stats = 1, 80% of the time, 2, 10% of the time and 3, 10% of the time.
So if you want to add an expansion to SoAK you can by using these rules.
Remove all Encounters from the expansion, but keep all events! (so adventure jewels are replenished)
How to determine a challenge stats.
If a challenge have Night/Day Life Point (LP), use these without modifications.
Any challenge that only does not have Night/Day LP, do the following;
If it is Night and Roll A is;
If it is Day and Roll A is;
Note: when deducting the total can never be lower than 1.
It is Night and a challenge with LP = 2 is drawn. Roll A is a 4, the LP = 2 in this encounter.
It is Night and a challenge with LP = 2 is drawn. Roll A is a 6 and Roll B is a 9, the LP = 4 (2 from the challenge and + 2 from Roll B)
It is Day and a challenge with LP = 2 is drawn. Roll A is a 8 and Roll B is a 5, the LP = 1 (2 from the challenge and - 1 from Roll B).
Note Roll B is not required since no matter what the outcome of Roll B would be the LP must at least be 1.
