FFG's epic game of dungeon-delving adventure!
Excuse my ignorance but were are the relic tokens placed on the board. First time player and don't know when they come into play.

They're placed on the Hero space when a Hero ditches a Relic card, because Relics can be destroyed or lost.
They don't see a lot of use. Most Heroes will conserve a Relic throughout the game or pass it to another Hero.
A wizard is never too late. Nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to.
There might be one or two relics that begin in a space on the board and need to be picked up (the Cloak of Space and Time, I think?) Most of them begin in the possession of the heroes, though, and they generally don't get dropped. Like Warlock says, the tokens don't see a lot of use in most games.
