Just the cards?
Published on 01 December 2008 - 13:30:06

For Talisman, FFG is releasing a "just the cards" box for the people that bought a previous 4th ed. Talisman...

Do you think they might do a "just the cards" version of core set for all of us that "need" multiple cards?

Is this something we'ld want? I would, speak up! - Stu

I'm in North Dakota and lookin' for gamers! Anyone? Bueller?

I would love that because, as a competitive player, I would need three copies to have the complete pool of possible cards for deckbuilding. And I don't really need three copies of the story mats and success/wound tokens or drain tokens. I don't see this happening- the idea being to streamline everything and produce the game as cheaply as possible conflicts with offering the game one way, then retooling and repackaging it for a "cards only" release.

But one can always hope...

Camilla: You, sir, should unmask.
Stranger: Indeed?
Camilla: Indeed it's time. We have all laid aside disguise but you.
Stranger: I wear no mask
Camilla (Terrified aside to Cassilda): No mask? No mask!

"Just the cards" is a cool idea but that's still not stopping me from buying 4 core boxes to make sure i have 3 of every card. Besides I have waited for core since september I dont wanna wait till next Sept. for "Just the cards"  to have it pushed back to Jan 2010 to get them.
