That is a great idea, using the WotC Star Wars Minis for use in this game.  Good thing I held on to my collection.  You never know when you're gonna need them.  I know someone who got rid (sold) his collection.  Recycling is always the best action.

After all the time and money I spent on getting a complete collection of the non-spaceship lines, there's no way in hell I'd part with my WotC SW minis.

Okay, a check for one million US dollars and an all-expenses paid night out with 2011 PMOY Clair Sinclair might do it, but that's my bare minimum complice

Places I've pulled WotC SW miniatures singles from:

http://trollandtoad.com/Miniatures/1424-1285p1n10.html

http://www.miniaturemarket.com/collectible-miniatures/star-wars-miniatures.html

Seems like there was another one, but I can't remember…I've got a large box that I spent a decent amount of money on, and I've only parted with my rarer pieces for cash to the die hards who still play (we had some guys who took the game way too seriously). Having a bunch of commons and a little craft experience means I can repaint a few pieces to help get the point across. If I want it to be really noticeable, I can start grafting pieces together =P

I am working with Fighterpod minis for Star Wars:

I agree that the comic style of the minis is not for everybodys taste, but they have a nice size and are pretty cheap. It is pretty easy to amass lots of stormtroopers and other adversaries.

They work nicely for my rounds.

Strikezone

CCG Armory

are also good places to pick up minis

prices vary based upon request and Rariety
Strike Zone and Miniature market tends to be pretty "with it" when interests peaks so watch out fror price spikes in simple commons and the Hutt rares that match the characters needed in the BB
