Sorry if this question has been asked before, but… does anyone have any idea when the core book will be released? Or available for pre-order? If I remember right, the only thing that I've read elsewhere is Spring 2013.

Yes that's the only date that I've read and heard about so far too
don't forget this is FFG. Spring could mean anytime up unit gencon.

They did post something on the RPG games list recently. Showing that maybe the website for it would be up soonish.
The probability of a successful dice roll is inversely proportional to the relative amount of negative impact its failure will have on your character.

It's certainly possible, but it's also a matter of whether FFG thinks it's worth the time and resources to create said free adventure that's the kicker.
