Tournement worthy?

So this game is cheap enough to get people to pick up by just talking about it. Do you guys feel that this game will be tournement worthy (as in enough players get behind this and want to play) or will it be like Catan where its fun to play once in a while but not competatively (though there are tournements for Catan as most games, but it isnt very big)
