i feel as if i already know there's little way to make this a solo game, but that damn art is so good that i really want this game (and have no one that shares my passion for gaming, live in the middle of nowhere etc etc)
so any ideas if this is possible?

I understand your troubles, have a similar situation here when living abroad (outside of the US), far from any gamer friends. You can however follow the forum threads on the www.boardgamegeek.com website. Users post variant rules to many games on this website. Hope it helps.

I just got this game and I'd like to work out a way to play solo also. The problem is that although it is partly co-operative you still have to have a good side and evil side. The only way I see to play solo is too have pre-card-assignment play completely random. I'll let you know if I figure anything out.
