I just recently found a copy of the EotE Beta at my FLGS, which I was also looking at X-Wing. I know the they both have special dice, so my question is are the dice interchangable?

They have separate non-interchangeable dice.

If you get teh dice app from itunes or the Google market-thingie (I use iphone :D ) the app has both the special EotE dice as well as Xwing dice and regular d4-d100 dice set.
