I get some pigments and apply them with a wet brush and then just kinda pull the wet pigment down with the brush I don't have a brand I just grind pastels as I have them around. Most of the spots are Reaper's Rusty Red mix with a bit of black then sponged on. another thing I do to give the rust some texture in places is mix in some of the rusty red with some contour putty and rub that on.
