Guy I know at Dakka has a copy already, although to be fair, his local store does seem to possess the ability to move forward and backward in time as he always has everything first.

Writing Credits so far: The Lathe Worlds, The Lathe Worlds - The Lost Dataslate, Only War, Hammer of the Emperor, Tome of Blood, Tome of Fate, Tome of Excess, Church of the Damned.

There are no female Space Marines. Don't believe me?

Gender & Appearance
Due to the special nature of the zygotes that make up a Space Marine's geneseed, all Space Marines are male.
- Deathwatch, Core Rulebook, Page 28.

So enough with the Female Marine threads…

Got an e-mail from my FLGS today to tell me my copy was in! Practically squee'd the whole walk down! Er… (In an Emperor-approved and Catachan-manly manner, of course….. avergonzado_alegre) Can't wait to crack it open! Been looking forward to this since the Beta was announced!

I was able to page through a copy at the FFG Event Center today. If I wasn't I broke student I would've purchased it on the spot.

If you live in Toronto, Ontario I know the Hairy T. has both the core rule book and GM screen in store, was able to pick mine up Friday afternoon.  I also saw that 401 games just up the street had the core rule book in stock too.

So far with only just a quick glance at the book I like what I see, rules wise looks very similer to Black Crusade.  Nice that they had a regiment creation rules right in the core rule book, thought that was a nice touch.  Also good number of classes to pick from, lots of choice for different play styles within the guard.  Over all so far I am very happy with my purchase and look forward to more in depth reading of the book this weekend.  Hope all those who want their copies get them soon.

Really curious as to how the Ogryn ended up; he was abysmal in Beta.

I've converted Dark Heresy to the Only War system. Please take a look!

That's a good question Plushy.

How did the Ogryn end up? He just wasn't very… Ogryn-y… in that ruleset.

Well at a quick glance looks like they get a -10 to Agility now along with other stat mods, but they gained 10 more wounds.

Yeah…Ogryn still suck.

I'm just hoping that they "fix" things and include the bone 'ead enhancement somehow…as well as unnatural strength and toughness advancement opportunities with an advanced specialty or cybernetic item in the Hammer of the Emperor player's guide.

Special Advances: True Orgryn
Raise Unnatural Strength from (+2) to (+3) 600xp
Raise Unnatural Strength from (+3) to (+4) 1,200xp
Raise Unnatural Toughness from (+2) to (+3) 600xp

Does anyone have an idea how to make use of the beta-discount once the pdf is released? Or where to find info about this? Thanks.

It takes only a small amount of charitable reading to make the internet dramatically more palatable.

I think it should automatically add the discount if you put it in your basket, or they'll send out a discount code when the PDF is released. One or the other.

Thanks Millandson. I guess it'll be a couple of months of waiting.
