Prefered Deck Size
Published on 19 January 2013 - 14:04:30

So i know 50 cards is the tournament deck limit, how many cards does your deck usually have. I have found 50 cards too big so i tend to stay at 36. I know some think that with smaller decks is easier but i just dont like using 50 card decks.

50 cards is the minimum, not the maximum.

I try to stay as close to 50 as possible (without going under).  51 to 54 are common numbers for my decks… if I hit 55 and don't have massive card draw in the deck, I start looking for cards to take out.

51 - I can never shift that last card. I tried using 50 card packs of funky sleeves but they splt then you get more & have spares. Playing less is easy mode but it's a solo game so knock yourself out.

I play decks with 60 to 65 cards but usually with a lot of card drawing ability to compensate for these extra cards.

Can you give an example of what cards you typically work with to help card draw? Gleowine perhaps?
