Restore Purhases Not Working for Android! Possible work around

Restore purchases does not work on my HTC Desire S, Android version 2.3.5
Work around…..
1. Ensure you have internet access and sync is active
2. From 'Pick Ancient One' screen select Cthulhu/Ithaqua and click to purchase.
3. A message will appear informing you that you have already purchased this item.
4. Select 'Details'.
5. Another message will appear saying an error of some kind occurred and the application must close. Close application.
6. The Ancient One Detail screen will then appear with the message in red at the bottom of the screen that the expanison is being purchased. This screen disappears
7. Expansion(s) are again available.
