how good is this game for 2 players?

Hello all,
This game does look very interesting (and lovely! pretty pictures make games flow so much better…)
Anyway, I was wondering what experience people had playing this game with just 2 people. I have found that a lot of games that are supposedly 2-4 (or whatever) are just not that great with only 2. I ask because I mostly play with my fiancee (other people drop in and out for games, but the two of us will play a couple of games a week), so we are always on the lookout for good 2 playing games.
