I'm not sure if this has been done within the Runebound universe but I would love to see an expansion campaign with a new quest book, map tiles, cards, heroes, and monsters set in a Far East(Asian) setting. If there is an existing expansion for any of the Runebound games please let me know because I might work on it as a fan expansion and would like to draw from the existing work as inspiration.

There was a core set and an expansion released for Disc Wars that was themed around Legend of the Five Rings.

That's the closest I can think of to Runebound and any Far Eastern setting existing in the same game.

 Yes rune bound has a far east x-pack, Sands of Al Kasim, or something close to that.  I too would love to see the world fleshed out even maybe into a mini's game, but yes a far east or the jungle or frozen north would be awesome

However, I think the OP was looking for something more chinese/japanese in style - buddhist monks, kung fu heroes, samurai and ninjas.

Yeah, I was looking for an existing Asian-themed expansion in the Runebound setting. The fact that there isn't one gives me more hope that one will come for 2E officially. I wouldn't mind any of the others though.
