I'm running the demo event for my local retailer next weekend, and I was wondering when we could expect to receive the demo kit?  I already have the rules in PDF, so that's not a big deal, but I'd like to have time to familiarize myself with the game.  To say nothing of time to advertise, since the posters are in the kit too…

 I am also demoing the game for my local store (helps I'm friends with the owner and employees) and I contacted them after there was some confusion with almost missing out on the preview event.

After speaking with my buddy, he said the demo kit was being shipped out that afternoon. Knowing pretty good the time frames of shipping. If it was shipped priority mail, then I'm gonna guess you and I will be seeing the demo kits by Mon-Tues, the latest Wed. next week.

I'm hosting a preview game for a local store (in Canada) and they've already received theirs, so at least some of them have definitely shipped already. Canadian stores might have got theirs shipped early to be sure they would arrive in time.

 Thanks for the info, guys.  Sounds like I should be seeing it soon, hopefully.  As long as its before Friday, I should be good.  Last-minute cramming makes me feel like I'm back in college :-)

So you're getting to play it early? I'm trying to arrange a game with the employee who is hosting one of the other demo games so we can both get familiar with it in advance. Not sure if it will happen though.

 Yeah, hopefully if we get it in enough time my friend and I will sit down to try it before I run it on Saturday and Sunday.  If not, I'll just have to wing it, but is prefer not to

 I think I'll be fine either way from playing first edition and reading the new rules, but it would definitely help to get a game in first.

Believe it or not, I've never played First Edition… that's part of why I volunteered to run the Second Edition demo.  I've never played it before, so it's new to me, and as a bonus, I won't get hung up on what's changed, since I don't have any point of comparison…
