Yes there was. I think it was even posted on the website maybe?

But I got the one from our KEssel Run as a sort of trophy for winning. :)

You shouldn't mention that - now the OP is going to have to track that down as well to complete his collection :)

LOL. It's just a piece of regular sized paper. I was kidding about it being a trophy. I only asked the TO if I could have it so I could show my kids at home the list of what we played with.

I thought the fancy range-finders that they gave out as prize support in the league kit were undersized? Why would you want to use that?

You use the plastic one to measure the other guy's range to you, and you use the cardboard one to measure your range to him.  LOL.

Me: "Sorry, you can't fire at me, I'm just out of range."

Opponent: "But you were able to fire at me and myships haven't moved….."

Me: "Here, you can borrow my official Fantasy Flight Games Acryllic Range Ruler if you want to check. It's made of high quality acryllic, so you know it's accurate."

*****

In all seriousness, it's more likely that the cardboard ones are off by a bit than the other way around. Take a look at this discussion under question #2: http://www.appliedperspective.com/acrylic/faqs/.

as the owner of 5 different core sets, I checked all of my movements (mainly the soft turns, and hard turns) I found them to be all the same. I had a friend who had applied perspectives (which i was thinking about purchasing) so I asked if I could check them against my own templates. the straights were dead on. The hard turns were dead on. all three soft turns… well they were off by about the same disctance that some of the ffg rulers were from the cardboard. I still think the acrylic is awesome. If FFG puts out an accrylic set thats just as accurate, I will buy it. until then, I have 4 more sets to burn through before i consider alternative templates.

I do like how its much much thinker then the cardboard though. much more accurate for moving

Is shooting behind you to the back of backstabber an achievement?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVf4mhXmSY8&feature=plcp

Lols, the poster I saw. I didn't see the instruction sheet.

Er, wait. Was that the brochure type thing that had the Finals lists on it? If so, then yeah I saw that. I just didn't realize that's what we were talking about.

If I could get the player base, I would run a tournament every week with no prize support. It's a game. It's fun. My prize is blowing up ships.

I understand that some people like to collect everything about a game, and that it can feel a bit raw if you miss out on a rare piece.

BUT

At least these kits aren't Varrient Stat Figs. When prize support is a usable special edition fig that gives the owner an advantage, distribution is vitally important.

Our local stores missed out on the KESSELL RUN event. I had to drive 2 hours to the next nearest one. They had 8 players and I did not get a FALCON. BUT since it's available later as a straight purchase, I'll live.
