Do the expansions for the X-wing and Tie fighters come with the same cards that they come with in the starer box? If so I may just buy a 2nd box.

the expansions come with the generic squad cards and some named pilots. The named pilots are unique to the expansions.

Pilots exclusive to Tie expansion pack:
Winged Gundark (change 1 hit to a crit at range 1)
Backstabber (1 more attack die when out of targets firing arc)
Howlrunner (squadmates within 1 reroll one attack die when firing main cannons)
Pilots exclusive to X-Wing expac:
Wedge Antilles (Count target as having 1 less agility)
Garven Dreis (after spending focus token, give it to a friendly within 1-2)
FFG was wise to put some of the best pilots in the expansions, and some great pilots in the core set as well.
