Adding capital ships, without making them to scale with the starfighters, would disrupt the core concept of X-Wing, as it depends on the precise spatial relationships between ships in the battlefield for the purposes of piloting tactics, and this cannot be represented accurately unless all the ships scale with one another. The reason this wasn't a problem in the WotC game was because maneuvering was not a focus of that game, so size itself could be left abstract, using what they called "relative scale." It was not a dogfighting game, but a fleet-based version of their existing miniatures game that had previously featured only ground units.
"Truth has power. And if we all gravitate toward similar ideas, maybe we do so because those ideas are true…written deep within us. And when we hear the truth, even if we don't understand it, we feel that truth resonate within us…vibrating with our unconscious wisdom. Perhaps the truth is not learned by us, but rather, the truth is re-called…re-membered…re-cognized…as that which is already inside us." Peter Solomon, The Lost Symbol
Tie bombers and B-wings would be sweet, as would many of the fighters from the prequels (Sure, the acting blew horrid chunks, but the SFX and design concepts were sweet) If they get into SWEU then I'd love to see Ssi-Ruuk, Hapan, and Youzon Vong ships also. I like the idea of having "active maps" to play on as an idea for capital ships.
Quoted from Nolsutt:
You have to be a badass if you go to some random planetagree to go hunt dinsaurs naked without any fuss.
In my M42, Space Marines have balls, female Space Marines are called Sisters of Battle (and kick major butt), Chaos isn't STUPID evil,no one is a mindless battledrone except for combat servitors.
