As a fan of the Battles of Westeross (BoW) game I was hoping that the new version would allow for some of the battles to be resolved using BoW. So when a battle occured you would set up a BoW game using the forces from the boardgame. Any thoughts?

i dont think so. surely the lenght of the game will rise mostrously up!
and players would be forced to have a copy of Bow game also to play.
in this second edition i would have preferred to see and use similar miniatures of the BoW game instead of the "resumed ones" of the first edition.
I was thinking more along the lines of an option to set up a battle in BoW. The game would play as normal but if the player felt a battle was particuarly important they could fight it out in BoW.
No reason it wouldn't work as a house rule- work out some kind of simple conversion rate for the forces - it would make the Board game a lot more like a campaign map though- you'd probably want to play it over the course of several days, rather than try it in one sitting.
Never leave home without your Direwolf...
battles of westeros doesnt have all the factions and i doubt it ever would so i dont see this ever working, as nice an idea as it is for those with an abundance of leisure time.
