I see the second edition has some components from the expansions.

Will the existing expansions work with the second edition base game? I was able to pick up the expansions at a good price in hopes of finding the board game fora  reasonable price and / or getting a revised edition such as this one. At this point, I'll wait for the updated version.

So is it known yet whether the expansions will work with the new base game or should I consider turning my investment into profit?

It appears from the description that the Expansions are incorporated into the 2nd Ed.I didn't see anything about the Leader Counters fro SoS but it just maybe that everything is in the 2nd Ed.

It doesn't for instance mention the additional one use orders from the first expansion (a good thing to leave out imo) or the 6th player (a bad thing to leave out).

Nor does it mention or demonstrate the alternative board needed for the second expansion.

It does say 3-6 players, so the sixth player part of the expansion is included as default.

 That's good to know. That was the best part about the first expansion :P

I'm just happy I never bought the expansions while the core game was out of print.  I was very close to doing so and would be beating myself around the head, now, that a good deal of the expansions have been added to the second edition core game.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the only expansion items to not be included in the 2nd edition are the Leaders and the fortifications, correct?  Can they integrate into the new version if you wanted to?  The reason I am asking is because I am going to keep any expansion items that were not included in the new edition and then give all my first edition items away to a friend of mine.  I'm trying to decide what I can keep.

Does anyone see a problem integrating these into the new edition?
