They very much do. And the core rules did as well, considering that the Tomb Stalker didn't exist prior to the newest codex and a Lord like Aetehk the Watcher was almost unthinkable with the former fluff.

Only kinda. The Tomb Stalker is a FW unit created before the Newcron Codex. The Flayed Ones make no mention of their new fluff from the new Codex, and the Scarabs are called Scarabs rather than Canoptek Scarabs.
It's a half'n'half mix really.
