Just giving a shout out for the annual Letter Carrier Food Drive taking place this Saturday in most areas of the US. This is the largest food drive in the nation, bringing in millions of pounds of food that goes to your local food banks.
Even if all you donate is one can of food, the numbers add up dramatically in this type of event. Just put whatever you donate in or next to your mailbox, and us letter carriers will pick it up.
Most of you in areas where the food drive is taking place will receive a post card reminding you of this event. You can also contact your local Post Office to find out if your area is taking part.
