Caprica Discussion (Spoilers)
Published on 21 April 2009 - 21:45:47

Ok, so I don't really have much in the way of spoilers that I'm thinking of discussing at the moment, but I thought I should start a new "BSG" thread since the Caprica intro movie was just released today. Did anyone other than myself rush out to get it and watch it?

Its at the top of my Netflix queue, but Netflix claims it will be a "long wait."  :-(

I haven't seen it yet, and honestly don't know if I will. It seems to be more of a drama show than a sci-fi action adventure drama show. It doesn't have any of the elements that drew me into BSG.

I honestly was not excited about this show and had low expectations for it (maybe because I was disappointed with how BSG ended) but I saw this Pilot in Hollywood at it's premiere on Monday on the big-screen.  I thought it was much better than I expected and I will definitely watch it again.  I love the fact that it is a good Sci_Fi show and you don't have to know anything about BSG to watch it.  This is what the producers (Ron Moore and David Eick) were hoping for (as they told the audience at the premiere).  I thought that the acting was pretty good and I'm excited to see more with the Virtual Reality stuff.

Also, the cast was great in person.  They mingled and I talked with a bunch of them.  Eric Stoltz was so-so, but Esai Morales was very friendly and the two young female stars (Alessandra Torressani and Magda Apanowicz) were amazing and very friendly.   They are both really excited about the show and their characters and I hope that this show really gets a chance to grow.
