TOURNAMENT UPDATE
The following change has been made regarding tournament deck requirements:
NOTICE: Proxy cards will be allowed in the tournament as long as you can show you own at least 1 of the cards. Many of us do not have 3 Core Sets or all the packs from the Corruption Cycle and we don't want all the advantages to go to the person with the most cards. As long as you have a nice color print out of the card placed in a sleeve in front of another card the use of proxy cards will be considered perfectly acceptable.
This decision was m to cater to new players as much as possible. One of the things I love most about this game is the lack of rare chasing, but the 1 of's and 2 of's in the Core Set, Assault on Ulthuan, and packs from the Corruption Cycle tend to feel that way. Most of us also have multiple decks and play with proxies on a regular basis. This is so we don't have to take apart a deck for something common like Contested Village.
Hopefully this spurs some new people to come out and play!
Our first constructed tournament went awesome! This has to have been the most fun I've had at a Warhammer Invasion Meetup yet.
I want to give a special thanks to Rick and Jason who drove up from Lexington, thanks for making the trek it was great seeing you guys again! And I would like to give and extra special thanks to Logan who sweetened our prize pot with his the game Exalted: War for the Throne! Rick comes up for a board game night sometime soon to let us all try it.
