Before going into detailed lists, I'd like to know two things: You don't have any units yet, not even a Core set? If you don't have a Core set, are you interested in getting one or do you want to buy Axis units exclusively?

Dear FFG, please don't stop the Tannhäuser line completely! Maybe just step down the release of new product to two (maybe one) characters per year just to keep players interested. Maybe release mercenary characters that would be useful for every faction thus every player. Maybe release a pack containing all the existing bonus tokens but no miniature. Anything, please!

I guess if you can give more detail like what kind of unit you want and if you need both Allies or Axis.

With Core-set, the Axis and good range unit and allies have good close range unit.

The two unit I recommand is the Grim Reaper for Allies, and the zombie for Axis, this will balance the side a bit. And then get the original walker for both side. This will add more walker, and those should be good for close to 200 point army.

Taking all of the Axis units from the Core set plus the original walker plus the Zombies is a good idea. With just 2 new purchases you'll be close to a 200 point army, for example: Core set units (127 points) + Ludwig (40 points) + Zombies (31 points) = 198 points. If you are willing to invest in another unit, you could also use Core set (127) + Lothar (Artillery walker, 36) + Zombies (31) + Beobachter (from the Sniper and Beobachter set, 5) = 199.

As an alternative, you could get the Axis Hero pack and the Zombies to get the following army: Core set (127) + Stefan (Hero fom the Hero pack to join the Sturmpioniere, 18) + Zombies (31) + One of the Zombie heroes from the Hero pack (24) = 200. A nice army, although some will dislike it because it lacks another walker.
