Yeah, or even a drop container (like the AT-43 cargo containers) that were dropped full of zombies from German air support would cool.

It would be like dropping  hornets nest on someone.  Maybe for balancing, Axis can container drop for same turn zombie deployment, but has to roll to see how many of the zombie "cargo" survive the quick drop?

Thought make them cheep and have them move in a random direction and attack the closest target friend or foe. They are the rejects that do not fit in the operational teams so they drop them on the enemy and hope for the best.

Yeah in S.O.T.R. (another Weird War II mini game which was the genesis of the thought) there are Sturmzombies that are the "smarter" zombies, the successful experiments capable of taking commands, then the "meat wall" zombies that mill about and are only kind of the controllable by a "Pinger" that is a sort of zombie wrangler herding them in the general direction of the enemy.

Its almost like gas attack in principle: release a large concentration and hope there is a dispersion that favors your troops.

Ubertoten Zombie squad with demo charges strapped to their chest that they detonate before death causing damage to adjacent enemy troopers or walkers.

It's only a game so have fun.

And then you have a medic squad that sews them up and they are back in the game soon!:D

Sounds like the SOTR Bomberzombies.  Explosive kamikaze zombie units used both in SOTR and the boardgame, Inrcursion (its like a Weird War II Space Hulk).  The SOTR Bomberzombies are pictured above, the Incursion ones have large Naval mines surgically implanted in their guts.  I dont think medics can put these guys back together again, as there is likely not much left than a putrescent jelly stain.  Link to more pics below.

I'm still hoping for a Zombie Command Squad whose medic makes your fallen units into zombies.

I don't always play board-games, but when I do I play Tannhauser.

Keep gaming my friend.

The Ubertoten Assault Squad has been added to the Axis product list for the premium miniatures.

They just have the usual super-tiny pic of the unit card, but it looks like they're definitely armor 3.

Also, I think that they may have one line for normal Panzerfausts and a second for the leader's Panzerfaust 100, but that's a little hard to decipher.

They're unit cost is also cutoff (of course).  And it doesn't look like they have Fast, but it could just be on the portion of the card that was cutoff.

This could also be a nice skill for a new Zombie Hero that starts the game without having a squad attached, then builds a squad of zombies around him as your normal soldiers are killed. Basically, if this Hero is adjacent to a friendly (or even opposing?) squad that has lost soldiers, he does not regenerate one killed soldier per turn (like the medics) but adds a zombie to his squad instead.

Dear FFG, please don't stop the Tannhäuser line completely! Maybe just step down the release of new product to two (maybe one) characters per year just to keep players interested. Maybe release mercenary characters that would be useful for every faction thus every player. Maybe release a pack containing all the existing bonus tokens but no miniature. Anything, please!

That sounds a bit too magical too me:D He would be running around injecting serum? We also do not know how long it takes to reanimate.

How about a superhero unit that regenerates when any mini dies in an adjacent square? Like a vampire unit

Hate not the player, hate the game.

That  would be interesting, kind of a totenmaister but in opposite direction.

They could have zombie attack dogs squad that can be attached to zombie squads for added mayhem. I think the zombie handler idea could be a new hero for zombies he could have a backpack with body parts so he can act as amedic of sorts. Sewing the arms or legs back on to fallen zombies.

It's only a game so have fun.

They look very neat. Even, whith a head swapping and a little putty to fix the stripped clothing, able to represent Armor 1 infantry.

From what I've read they do not look like careless zombies but "zombified" shock infantry. So I don't see them as all out thoughtless beasties but specially resilient assault specialists.
