Opinions on my 3 armies and their competitiveness

X-post from BGG

Hey all! I recently started building an SSU army to use as my default army for my Tactics games. I'd simply like to have some feedback to know if my SSU will be competitive and give some hell to the enemy!

AXIS (original core set + expansions)
- 4 Medium Walkers (4 configs): Luther/Ludwig/Lothar/Loth
- Sigrid
- Lara
- Angela
- Kommandotrupp
- Heavy Kommandotrupp
- Battle/Laser/Recon Grenadiers
- Heavy Recon Grenadiers
- Zombies
- Snipers/Observers Squad
Planning to buy soon: Heavy Anti-Tank Grenadiers (if I buy a SSU Heavy Tank).

ALLIES (original core set + expansions)
- 3 Medium Walkers (4 configs): Pounder/Hotdog/Steel Rain/Mickey
- Bazooka Joe
- The Chef
- Rhino
- Command Squad
- Corps Officers
- BBQ Squad/Recon Boys/Gunners
- Grim Reapers
- The Hammers
- Tank Busters
Planning to buy soon: British Commandos Kill Squad

SSU
- Grand'ma
- Airborne Transport copter + Chinese Volunteers
- Koshka
- Nikolaï
- Yakov
- Red Yana
- Medvedi (Command Squad)
- Drakoni (Commissars)
- Frontoviki (Battle Squad)
- Fakyeli (Close Combat Squad)
- Nabludatyel/Jnetzi (Specialists)
Planning to buy soon: Airborne Walker Transport (for the additionnal Walker), Ground Attack copter, Op. Hades (for Winter Child), SSU Red Guards Command Squad, SSU Red Guards Anti-Tank and/or Assault Squad and maybe 1 Heavy Tank.

With all this, should I be able to compete against the other 2 armies I have?

Complementary Question: How about in Warfare? Do I have 3 "balanced" armies?

They look pretty balanced, except for not having much anti-air on either your Axis or Allied armies.

Allies especially, I would say you should add either the wildfire/honey or the rattler/cobra (or both) to get some anti-air options.

Good points! I just checked and for now only the Grim Reapers, Heavy Recon Grenadiers and Luther can do some more serious damagae to aircrafts.  I'll probably get the Wildfire and the Heinrich to add some more anti-air firepower to both Axis and Allies and some variety in my models (only have medium walkers).

Other Q: Walker Transport copter OR Ground Attack copter?

If I get both I won't get a Heavy Tank…but I could pass on the Ground attack copter and get 1 Heavy Tank for the SSU to add some diversity between my armies!

I can't say about balance, but the zombies are much better with Grenadier X, and The Gunners are twice as effective with Johnny One-Eye.  For Axis AA don't forget the heavy flak grenadiers, or the heavy walker.
