And the fact that they have directional jets underneath so that they can hover in place.

One has somthing sticking out of it that could be a cannon, and they appear to have a VSTOL system of some sort, so the can land/takeoff/hover like a chopper.

I don't always play board-games, but when I do I play Tannhauser.

Keep gaming my friend.

The thing sticking out reminds me of a refuelling tube, but it can't be that, Tactics couldn't possibly have such an unnecessary mechanic. i'm hoping that stick is temporary or something, cause it looks very awkward to have such a long thing sticking out in the game table and for storage.

I'd really love to see some "Dust-erdized" (new word) version of a P51 for the Allies. That would just be amazing!

I'd like a double mustang, or P-38.

Its a cannon.

Compare to the 75mm cannon used on the Hs 129 B-3 or the Ju 88 P

Me too! P51 the best!

Also, we allies need new stuff… come on! hero type 4, tanks, and infantry for russians, jet plane, giant walkers, heavy weapon teams for germans and nothing for us allies? Oh right we got 2 brand new infantries…. cool (sarcasm)

Come on! Give us allied some new real stuff! Some new vehicles!

It reminds me a LOT of the Maschinen Krieger Hummel. You can even choose to build it with runners instead of landing wheels.

 Is that from some game?

No, Maschinen Krieger (or Ma.K) is a sci-fi setting created by Japanese artist Kow Yokoyama about thirty years ago. It started as garage kits but have grown from there and although it's still largely unknown in the west it has provided inspiration to many western sci-fi artists. You can read more in the wikipedia article and here's a gallery with all kinds of cool Ma.K stuff.

I'm positive Paolo Parente is well aware of this stuff since it's similar in many ways. However, the new fighter is the first Dust model I've seen that immediately immediately made me think of Ma.K (although the allied walkers definitely took some of their design from the Gans. Just look at the feet).

Sorry to roll off topic… :)

Talked to someone with info that told me the one Jet was armed with a anti-tank weapon or cannon.

Go to http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.453259284705432.102727.327095273988501&type=3  There are alot of snaps of our day but some more detailed photos of the Jets and other stuff in the case from the back.
