Fantastic day.  12 players, 3 rounds.  Demos and painting competitions.  We all had a great time and I got to organize for so e great players.

 Both of the Command Squads look great with the flag bearers.

 When I first saw the Punisher/Fireball I had thought about doing a custom turret on top for it but got used to the look of it and started to like it alot after painting it up.... Still the top turret looks really good.

 Yeah, those command squads were fantastic.  All of his stuff was really spectacular.

I can only agree. The customs look great, especially the command squads. Thanks for posting! Additional info that I'd really be interested in would be the armies that were played in the tournament. Is there any chance that you'd post them or maybe at least post those that were very successful?

We are just about a month from Dust Day Olympia and i wanted to go over the tournament format for anyone coming up (I know we got the Portland gang heading north). 

The Golden Hot Dog Open

Trophy of course is the Golden Hot Dog
250 Points, 3 rounds, Swiss format
1 Hero must be in the army list
Tables will be 4 tiles wide, and 3 deep
There will be 2 crates and 2 tank traps available for cover on each round. Person who wins first initiative places the first cover element, then take turns
All games are 8 turns in length or 1 hour and a half

A copy of your list for the day is due upon registration

Each of the 3 rounds will have a different mutual "mission", I will setup the terrain before each of the rounds. 

First round will be Breakthrough
Both sides deployment zones are the squares against the long edge. Mission is to get as many units across to the opposite deployment zone as you can. Each of your units that reach the opposite edge are removed from the game and count as double victory points for the owing player. Other victory points are added as normal for destroyed units. Player with the most victory points at the end wins, ties will be decided by the total amount of units that broke through.

Second round will be Take and Hold
Same deployment zones. Mission is to hold the objective marker in the center of the game area. Victory points count as normal for units destroyed, with the addition that every turn a player has a unit in the same square as the objective marker at the end of the turn, receives 10 extra victory points per turn that it is held. Cover elements cannot be placed on the objective square.

Third round will be Escort
Each player places a neutral model in one of their units. This model has no profile and garners the unit no additional wounds. It is there just as a marker. You must keep your diplomat alive! Victory points are calculated as normal for units destroyed with the addition that if the unit with the neutral model is destroyed, the destroying player gains triple victory points for that unit at the end of the game.

Players will be ranked by wins first, and victory points total second. Post any questions you have. My players will be familiar with this for the most part as this is how we are running our game night league.
