My biggest disappointment with the exp packs are the cards do NOT feel the same as the original cards.  They are not textured, look more glossy, and feel a bit more flimsy than the cards in original set.  Luckily, none of the cards are meant to be shuffled into the existing decks, so there is no conflict or NEED to have card protectors, they just look/feel off.

In order to avoid ending on a downer, I LOVE the team cards replacing the team markers.   It makes it so much easier to choose teams randomly, and they make a nice place to put your action cards.  I like to place the current action card under the team card to show what I cannot use next turn.

I'll sleeve them regardless, so I'm more disappointed with the new locations having red backs instead of greens . Once I get my POD cards, will probably switch to building the hulk on the fly, so when each travel occurs, roll a die (there are now 5 locations for each number I think) and pick that one. That way won't know if I'm heading into a green or a red location.

A dirty mind is its own reward.

Looks like they got removed for some reason .

I think the reason is, the expansion packs are sorted as separate categories on BGG. Just type "Death Angel" in the search window and there you go.

Speaking of the differences between core and expansion cards, I really don´t mind that much. A little difference of the marine cards will disappear under the sleeve, and the red back of the mission cards... well, entering them won´t be that surprising, that´s true.

Could be, but I doubt it, since the images are not even under the Space Marine Pack listing. The links I posted had both the Black and Orange team orders listed in the same manner as here:

I think it is more likely FFG asked the images to be removed so people couldn't just print out the images and use them, not buying the products.

I sleeved mine (friend who ordered them brought them over yesterday) so don't know about feel difference and they still all fit into the box. Next packs will probably require me to grab one of the bigger boxes like Secrets of Arkham Deluxe expansion for Call of Cthulhu to store Death Angel. I'm going to play first two games with Red only cards, then go to my build-hulk-on-the-fly approach, rolling a die whenever I travel and picking that numbered location from the stack of 5, so won't know if I'm going into Green or Red. Of course, drawing the Green team today, lost the first game without even seeing the final location. Stupid Green !

1. - The statement about deleting the image seems logical. We mustn´t forget, that although FFG does a lot for their fans, their main purpose is to make money, so... again - yes, you´re probably right :)

2. - It will sound silly, but I just prefer the original box. That´s one of the reasons I bought it - it´s compact, practical... And I just love to keep the original look and feel that it´s all like new. I´m keeping minimum of the cards sleeved, so they could fit in. Right now I have sleeved only the marine cards, entry location cards, terrain cards and that´s it. It barely fits, and I´m using even the middle space of the box, where i keep event cards among with the die and tokens. If there would be another expansion (which I suppose), I would just have to unsleeve all my cards to make it fit. And one more thing - the die. It just takes too much space in the box. Maybe I´ll make an exception, and replace it with a card :)

I've sleeved all the cards, barring the rules cards from the PODs. I have GS in one stack, with half the marine teams and four of the randomiser cards at one end, location, terrain and the other four marine teams and randomisers at the other end, with Events and the rules in the center, with a ziplock with tokens on top.

Also, the Chaplain would like a word with you, heretic. Replacing the die! Blasphemy!

Then again, I don't think I've ever rolled so many 0s as today . Adron's very first appearance, very first attack, 0. Lorenzo dies to 0, reroll, 0 and on the turn after Rescue Space Marine Event had been drawn. Somehow crawled to the final location, Librarium Vault. Managed to kill 7 GS, had Deino and Adron left. All I need is Adron to survive the defense and I have a 5/6 chance of winning. 2GS in front, 1 behind. 0, reroll, 0, forced to use Artifact. Lone GS from behind attacks, 1. Dead. Leaving Deino with a 5GS swarm that flanked him and he could only attack or support .

A dirty mind is its own reward.

1. - Well... if the Chaplain looks at it this way... I may reconsider that decision :)

2. - That sounds like a very unlucky fight. Reminds me of my very first game of Mansions of Madness. I had great character with great abilities, he almost every time had 7/10 or 8/10 chance to win, but EVERY time i rolled the die, I rolled 1 higher. And that happened about 12 times in a row. Well... sometimes the game seems just cursed. You need to take a deep breath and try again. And just leave Green Team at home :) But several last days I´m wondering if they really ARE that bad as everyone says. They have higher chances to kill - if they roll 4, they kill 3 enemies, right (I´m asking, because I don´t really remember, I haven´t used them for a looong time :))? So if you would put them in some strategic positions, they shouldn´t be such a waste of space.

I tried both expansions yesterday, and I must say, my marines fought well. Brother Adron blasted so many GS I couldn´t count it, even the mighty Brood Lord himself (I consider the Orange Team really overpowered for many reasons). The Grey Team didn´t prove that useful as I expected (the Armor of Redemption wasn´t even used, because the unlucky events kept Grey Team strip down to 0 tokens, and when they had some, they stood against 5 GS), but they were still pretty good. At the end, few unlucky rolls killed all my cannon fodder in one round, so there were only commanders left. And because there were too many enemies, we didn´t made it to the final location. Sad day for the mankind.

Both of my recent losses have mainly come from "They're Everywhere" Event being drawn with an empty formation. Going from 0 GS to 6-8GS, with each Marine engaged just means you're going to rolling defense rolls vast majority of the time.

I had the same problem. They´re everywhere! came while I was still on the entry location. And because I wasn´t able to get rid of all GS quickly, I was soon overwhelmed. Very ugly event.

Didn't received mine yet...order shipped April 27th.

I live in Quebec, Canada so it's probably a normal customs delay.  I'll wait til next week before sending an email to FFG.

Anyone of you living in Canada having delays in their deliveries? I hoped it was quicker because I would like to order Tannhäuser directly with FFG since it comes with the revised rulebook...but don't want to wait 2-3 weeks :P

I also live in Quebec.  Unfortunately, my advice would be to be patient!  I ordered the expansions last month and it took about three weeks to receive them.

Normal customs procedures I guess...

i never understood why a company this big wouldnt just have warehouses in other countries to prevent customs problems

"Before Elves, before Dwarfs, before Men, the Old Ones arrived upon this world.  Then came Chaosthe Great Plan of the Old Ones was unmade.  We are the last of their servant, only by our hand shall the Great Plan be restored, with the total defeat of the usurping younger races."

The pack gives you one new terrain card (hull breach, a terrain a space marine may activate to eliminate genestealers), new location cards (2 new locations for 1A, 1B, 1C, 2, 3 and 4) and 4 adrenal genestealer cards (a new kind of genestealers that has an extra attack ability).

The pack (along with the new space marines pack), gives variety to the game and makes it better, in my opinion.
